The Free State of Thuringia (Thüringen) is a former GDR state in central Germany, known as the "green heart" of Germany since it's covered with dense forest, is definitely not the most popular part of this country. I'd guess that most international visitors to Thuringia visit the former site of the Buchenwald concentration camp or are literature mavens who want to see Goethe and Schiller's Weimar. Sadly, this state is also infamous as a center of Neo-Nazi activity.
Journey to the South (feat. Mummabear)
It's been a while since my last blog post as not much transpired before the Easter holidays. One week there was an intense storm and the school was struck by lightning which caused some damage to the water pipes, so school was closed down for two days. During the last week of school my mum … Continue reading Journey to the South (feat. Mummabear)

The majority of Sami Blood, Sameblod in Swedish, takes place during the 1930s in Northern Sweden at the height of scientific racism, ie, eugenics. We are … Continue reading Review: Sami Blood (2016)
Schloss

The name of the brewery is not written on the can, but after a quick search on the net, I … Continue reading Schloss
Oettinger
Oettinger is the biggest brewery in Germany in terms of total beer output. Headquartered in Oettingen, Bavaria, Oettinger does not advertise its products, does not involve any intermediaries and has very few employees since its brewing process is largely automated. This brewery gets quite a lot of hate in Germany (even my students make fun of it) and was once king of the cheap beers in Germany before the 29 cent discount beers started popping up in supermarkets.
